The Bayelsa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has resolved to a adopt consensus mode of selecting candidates for the Local Government Elections billed for 27th July, 2019.
Chairman of the PDP Moses Cleopas told journalists at a news conference in Government House where he stated the party’s readiness to sweep the polls.
Ovieteme George reports that the date for the Local Government Election was communicated to political parties on the 27th of April this year.
At a meeting in Government House Yenagoa, the Peoples Democratic Party expresses readiness to participate in the election with a particular mode of picking its flagbearers.
The Chairman of the party believes in internal democracy for any legitimate contender.
Elections will hold in the eight council areas on 27th July this year.
