The president of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, Francis Johnson is dead.He died in the early hours of the day after a brief illness in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Mr Johnson was first elected president of the association in June 2014 and reelected for another term in 2017.
Johnson had led the members of PENGASSAN against the privatisation of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and led the struggle for the reform of the Nigerian oil sector.
