The abduction of the district head of Daura municipal and many others in some parts of Katsina state have left residents in confusion.
Kidnappings in Katsina state have been on the increase with consistent attacks by bandits and kidnappers on several communities.
Tvc nEWS Correspondent, Abdullatif Yusuf reports the traditional tittle holder in Daura was kidnapped on Wednesday evening by unknown gun men suspected to be among the gangs of the bandits operating in the front line local governments of Katsina state.
This type of attack is strange, as Daura the home town of president Muhammadu Buhari is normally a serene place where crime is limited.
Some eye witnesses to the kidnapping said it was a harrowing experience and prayers are on going for the release of the abducted traditional ruler. All efforts to reach the Emirate for comments on the issue, proved abortive and for now the atmosphere is calm in Daura.
Days before the Daura kidnapping, the police had confirmed from its sources, three attacks by bandits on some communities in Safana local government, leading to the killing of more than 13 people. The communities included Sabuwa village and Gobirawa settlement.
Poeple are now afraid to move around and wants more action to be taken by the authorities to bring to an end the indiscriminate attacks on
innocent people.
