Tsitsipas played a gruelling semi-final against Rafael Nadal on Saturday night and it showed early on as Djokovic broke him in his opening service game.
The world No 1 was then in cruise control as he dominated from the baseline and won 84 per cent of points on his first serve on the way to winning the opening set 6-3.
The second set with serve until 4-4 when Djokovic showed incredible defence and finished with a backhand down the line to break.
And the Serbian needed four championship points to serve out the match and seal the 33rd Masters 1000 title of his illustrious career.
