Gunmen have kidnapped seven persons, including a three-month-old baby at Kanoma village in Maru local government area of Zamfara state.
The mother of the infant was also kidnapped while two people were killed during the attack.
An eyewitness, Ibrahim Muhammed said the suspected bandits attacked the village in their hundreds and fired gunshots sporadically to scare the residents away.
The bandits have demanded for a ransom of 50 million naira for the release of those abducted.

Spokesman of the state police command, Mohammed Shehu, confirmed the attack but said no one was killed and eight persons mostly women and children were abducted by the attackers.
