The Navy Logistics Command is building bonds of friendship with the people of Oghara community in Delta state where it just concluded a free medical outreach as part of activities marking its sixty third anniversary.
The Flag Officer Commanding Logistics Command, Rear Admiral Uchenna Onyia, also urged the people, particularly the youth, to shun militancy and acts capable of breaching the peace and stability of the economy.
Ovieteme George reports that the Navy Logistics Command aims to strengthen its relationship with its host community, Oghara with the “Medical Rhapsody” programme.
The free health initiative for the natives include Malaria Treatment, Laboratory Investigations and tests for HIV and Hepatitis.
Treatment of worm infestation as well as the distribution of Mosquito – treated nets were also part of the free medical outreach.
Friendship and better working relationship with the natives will promote harmony and promote peace in Oghara and Ethiope West Local Government Area.
The Medical Rhapsody is part of activities commemorating the sixty third anniversary celebrations of the Navy.
