The Nigeria Debate Society has held its 4th inter-tertiary institutions Debate and Public Speaking contest.
The event which was hosted by Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, Rivers State had thirty nine (39) contestants from twenty (20) universities, polytechnics and college of education around the country participating.
In the debate, Federal College of Education, Zaria came tops. Mountain Top University, Ogun and the Ondo State University of Science and Technology were the first and second runner ups respectively.
Caleb University emerged champions in the keenly contested Public Speaking event. Rivers State University and Ondo State University of Science and Technology came second and third respectively.
The public speaking contestants spoke on the topic “Leadership by example”.
