Nigeria’s Security and Civil Defense Corps, Enugu state command, has paraded three suspects caught in possession of prepaid meters.The command warned residents to desist from patronizing quacks or unauthorized persons who parade themselves as representing government agencies.
The suspects were caught at the point of selling pre-paid metres belonging to the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company that was allegedly stolen from the station’s workshop. The suspected buyers were also apprehended.
The commandant said that it was disappointing that after much sensitisation and warning, some persons whom she described as economic saboteurs still engage in acts inimical to growth and development
Some of the suspects who confessed to the crime, narrate their involvement in the act.
The Enugu state command of the Civil defense corps however assured residents of their preparedness to provide prompt response to issues of security threat and economic sabotage.
She warned the people to stop patronizing un-authorised agent who carry out repairs and installation on government infrastructure .
