The Director General of the National Youth Service corps has ordered that any corp member who travels without permission will be sanctioned .
Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim made this known in Akure when he visited the corps’ zonal office in Ondo state.
Ondo is the second state to be visited by the new Director General of NYSC, since he took over .
He was given a rousing welcome at the entrance of the zonal office as he inspected the guard of honour mounted by the corps members.
Thereafter, he proceeded to the hall to address the corps members and staff of NYSC in the state.
Brigadier General Ibrahim read riot act to the corps members who are fond of travelling without permission from officials.
According to him, such an act of indiscipline will no longer be tolerated.
He said any corps member found wanting will be adequately sanctioned.
The NYSC DG says his vision is to make the skill acquisition centres work perfectly to turn corps members to employer of labour after leaving service.
