The minister of Health, Professor Isaac Adewole, said the State will be getting 916 million naira from the Basic-Health-Care-Provision-Fund within the next nine months.
The minister made this known in Osogbo, at the flag off of the National Roll-out plan, for the enrollment of the people of the state, for the Basic Health care Provision Fund.

In October 2014, former President Goodluck Jonathan signed into law, the National Health Act. The act provides a legal framework for the Provision of health care services to all Nigerians.
A key component of the Act is the establishment of Basic Health Care Provision Fund which aims to extend primary Health care to all Nigerians by substantially increasing the level of financial resources to PHC service.
This is what the current admission is pursuing.
The minister said the president wants a new Nigeria where every pregnant woman is assured of being alive to see a live baby and every child born is assured of long healthy life.
Osun is the first state to benefit from this package, the programme is also to be flagged off in some other state who have indicated interest.
The Governor and the minister used the opportunity enroll into the state Health Insurance Scheme.
