The Police have detained the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the last election in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
He was arrested after honoring an invitation at the Police Force Headquarters in Abuja.
Senator Adeleke has been having legal battles. The election tribunal declared him the winner of the governorship election, but that decision is being challenged in court.
Then there is another case against him, over his Senior Secondary School Certificate.

In reaction to the detention, his party accused the governing party of planning to arraign him before a compromised court.
