Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina says the president’s plane landed in Abuja on Sunday evening. He spent 10-days in the United Kingdom on a private visit, during which there were rumours he went for medical treatment.
He proceeded to the UK on Thursday, 25th April, 2019 after inaugurating developmental projects in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital .
The presidency now wants the media platforms that reported that the president was ill to retract their stories and apologize to “millions of Nigerians both at home and in the Diaspora.”
The Peoples Democratic Party and the Coalition of United Political Parties had last week Thursday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to disclose his reason for embarking on a 10-day trip to the United Kingdom.
They said it was wrong for the President to embark on a journey without telling Nigerians what he would do while away.
