Following the French president Emmanuel Macron’s call for minimum European wage across the EU, labour leaders in Nigeria have called for a minimum wage across Africa.
Several workers across the world held a protest in Geneva Switzerland. Labour leaders from across the globe communicated in different languages but with one voice to protest against precarious work conditions.
The president of the international trade union confederation Ayuba Wabba says to achieve a new social contract Africa must also start to think of a minimum African wage across Africa.

The general secretary of the ITUC during the protest said there is a need for an international treaty to protect women especially when it has to do with equal pay
