The Arraignment of the Speaker of the Bayelsa State house of Assembly before the Code of Conduct Tribunal has been stalled due to the ill- health of the CCT chairman.
Charges were instituted against Kombowei Benson, and four others for refusing to pay the representative of Brass Constituency 1 in the
Assembly, Israel Sunny-Goli, some allowances due to him.
Mr Benson and his co-defendants are being accused of abuse of office in all the four counts preferred against them at the CCT.
The co-defendants are, former and serving officials of the Bayelsa House of Assembly, Mr Aaron Timiye (former Clerk), Mr Thomas Tamaraodubo (former accountant), Owudogu Edward (the incumbent Clerk) and Mr Koroye Stephen (the incumbent accountant).
The Chairman of the Tribunal through the registrar informed the Tribunal that 5th of July has been fixed for arraignment.
