In continuation of Operation GREEN SWEEP 2, the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has destroyed terrorists’ hideouts and killed some fighters at Gobara and Bakassi, Borno State.
According to a statement by the Air Force Spokesman, the attacks were made in separate air raids conducted on Friday.
A video accompanying the statement shows the attacks and the aftermath of the of the strikes.
The settlements are 2 of the targets selected for attack in the intensive air interdiction operations launched by the Air Task Force on Wednesday.
The attack on Gobara, a settlement in the Sambisa Forest area, was carried out by 2 Alpha Jets after surveillance missions had identified a segment of the settlement being used by Boko Haram fighters as storing their logistics and other equipment.
