The Geospatial Intelligence Centre at the Defence Intelligence Agency will aid the collation and analysis of intelligence needed to check insecurity in the country.
This is coming from the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar who explains that the GIC is a platform for analysing data gotten from satellite and surveillance aircraft.
Defence Correspondent Sifon Essien reports that the Defence Intelligence Agency is saddled with obtaining military intelligence for the Nigerian Armed Forces.
This is achieved through the use of diverse technologies. The latest being the Geospatial Intelligence Centre. TVC News could only obtain still pictures of the centre for security reasons.
The centre is among newly inaugurated facilities at the Agency’s Headquarters in Abuja.
The Defence Intelligence Agency is looking to deploy more of its assets like the GIC to aid security agencies fight insecurity in the country.
