Governor of Gombe state, Muhammadu Yahaya, has promised that his administration would complete all abandoned projects.
He made this pledge while inspecting some project sites within the state capital.
TVC News Correspondent Lanre Adeyemi also reports that the chief executive is concerned about the partly dilapidated bridge on the road that links Gombe to Borno state.
Gombe State is located at the center of Nigeria’s northeast and shares boundaries with all the six states in the region.
This makes the state a major transportation hub.
Governor Mahammadu Yahaya is concerned that Gombe may be cut off from Borno as a bridge on the major federal road linking both states has almost collapsed.
The Gombe may have little control over what happens to the bridge on the federal road but when it comes to township roads, the administration says it is committed to completing them on time and to standard.
Contractors handling these projects were also assured of prompt payment.
Provision of infrastructure was one of the main promises of Muhammadu Yahaya during his campaign
