The United Nations and the Nigerian humanitarian fund , a private sector initiative are to partner in providing Humanitarian needs of internally Displaced persons in Borno Adamawa and Yobe states
The Nigeria Humanitarian Fund has raised $90 million in contributions and pledges, due to generous support from seventeen donor countries, and hopes to raise $80 million from the private sector.
Companies and banks that are part of the Nigeria Humanitarian Fund – Private Sector Initiative reiterated their commitment to the humanitarian response and taking ownership of it.
The Government of Borno state expresses appreciation to the United nations, the private sector and her partners for giving succour to the internally Displaced persons in Borno state
The partnership will go a long way in reducing the huge burden on Government and giving the necessary support to the thousands of internally Displaced persons in Borno state.
