President Muhammadu Buhari has been briefed by Governors of the 36 states, on ways to tackle security challenges across the country.
The meeting which had all the state governors and service chiefs, held at the council chamber today.
According to the chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum, Kayode Fayemi, the meeting was at the instance of the Governors, to keep President Buhari abreast of decisions taken on security challenges across the country.
He revealed that issues of insurgency, banditry and Kidnapping were discussed, with a resolve to deal with them comprehensively.
Governor Fayemi also explained that his colleagues were yet to take a position on the proposal for state and local government policing.
