Former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu has backed the Nigerian team to bounce back from Sunday’s shocking 2-0 loss to Madagascar and perform better at the ongoing Nations cup
The three-time African champions were the overwhelming favourites to beat the debutants but were second best for most part of the encounter.
It was the first time Madagascar will record a win against Nigeria in five attempts.
The defeat also ended the Super Eagles’ run of nine games without defeat at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Kanu, who represented Nigeria at six Nations cup tournaments, has advised the Nigerian players to look beyond the defeat and focus on the task ahead.
