AITEO cup final: Kano Pillars emerge 2019 federation cup champions

Kano Pillars have emerged champions of the 2019 AITECO Federation Cup .

They emerged winner after they beat Niger Tornadoes 4-3 on penalties at the Ahmadu Bellow Stadium, Kaduna on Sunday.

After a goalless draw in regulation time, Pillars held their nerves to win the ensuing penalty kicks.

Pillars almost broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half but the free kick taken by captain Alli was a bit high.

Sai Masu Gida had lost the 2018 final to Enugu Rangers, but they made sure they snatched a narrow win over their northern rivals this time around.
