The shifting of Apple’s MacPro production from the United States to China comes in line with shipping costs and market outlook.
Experts say the move will benefit both countries.
The tech giant says in spite of President Donald Trump’s America first policy, it is set to relocate the production of its latest 6,000-U.S. dollar desktop computer MacPro to China, and is working with contractor Quanta Computer to assemble the product in Shanghai.
Apple cited lower shipping costs as the reason for the proposed move, which is the company’s only product currently made in the U.S.
A business expert Brandon Blackburn-Dwyer said Apple moving its factory to China would render greater accessibility to electronic components which could save massive shipping costs.
