The Cameroon football federation, FECAFOOT has sacked head coach Clarence Seedorf and assistant Patrick Kluivert following the country’s exit from the Nations cup.
The Indomitable Lions were knocked out of the competition by Nigeria in the round of 16 courtesy a 3-2 defeat, with Arsenal midfielder Alex Iwobi scoring the winning goal.
Cameroon’s participation at the continental showpiece was preceded by a bonus row between the players and football authorities.
Sedoorf was hired by Cameroon in last August,and he earned 96,000 euros monthly, making him the second highest paid coach in Africa, just behind former Egypt manager Javier Aguirre who has also been fired.
Seedorf was in charge of 13 matches with Cameroon.
He won 4, lost 4 and drew 5. Under his guidance, Cameroon scored 10 goals and conceded 11.
