Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo is in line to win the Golden Boot as the highest goalscorer at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which closes on Friday in Egypt.
Ighalo scored the only goal in Nigeria’s one-nil win over Tunisia in the third place match on Wednesday.
The goal brought the striker’s tally in the Nations Cup to five.
This puts him ahead of his closest rivals Algerians, Riyad Mahrez, Adam Ounas, Congolese Cedric Bakambu and Senegalese, Sadio Mane, who have three goals each.
Mahrez, Ounas and Mane also have a chance to increase their tally when the Senegal take on Algeria in the final match on Friday in Cairo.
