The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory have arrested 40 members of El-Zakzaky Islamic Movement over the violent protest on Tuesday.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, the police foiled a violent attempt by members of the movement to invade the National Assembly.
This has led the police boss to ordered a 24-hr Police surveillance in the FCT and its environs.

The Commissioners of Police in States in neighbouring states have also been placed on the alert to ensure maximum security in their areas.
The police boss has warned that citizens should not test the collective will of the People and the State by breaching the peace.
