Mixed reactions have continued to trail the call for the sack of Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, following the team’s 2-1 loss to the Algerian side in their Semi-final clash on Sunday night.
Nigeria conceded a last minute goal from a well-taken free-kick by Riyad Mahrez in the 94th minute of the encounter.
There’s has been calls for the sack of the German handler even before the semi-final loss.
In a facebook post by #TVCNews and reacted to by more than 150 Facebook users, as at the time of filing this report, opinions are divided as to whether the German tactician should be relieved of his job as the coach of the national team.
Some Nigerians defended the coach, arguing that he did his best for the team and the country. They also reminded his antagonists that Nigeria failed to qualify for the last two editions of the tournament. On the other hand, others believe the German lacks required expertise to galvanise the talents embedded in the promising Eagles.
