Olufunke Olakunri: Daughter of Afenifere leader buried in Akure

Olufunke Olakunrin, the daughter of Afenifere leader, Reuben Fasoranti, who was killed by gunmen, has been buried in Ondo state.

The funeral service was held at Saint David’s Anglican Church, Ijomu, Akure, and witnessed by Governors of Ondo, Ekiti, Lagos and Ogun states.

Saint David’s Anglican church, Ijomu Akure, the capital of Ondo state was filled with members of her family, friends and close associates who came to bid her farewell

The Officiating Minister and Bishop of Akure Anglican Diocese, Right Reverend Simeon Borokini’s message was laced with words of admonition and encouragement

He said death is a necessary end for human being as he also urged the Nigerian government to be more proactive in tackling high level of insecurity in the country.

At the end of the service, Olufunke’s body was moved to the graveyard. Her corpse was accompanied by family members and well wishers.

At the graveyard, her body was lowered into the grave amidst wailing and tears. Her younger brothers summoned courage to talk to journalists.

Taiwo and Kehinde Fasoranti want the security agencies to fish out her killers even as they shared the good times they spent with her.
