The police in Kano state has arrested six armed robbery suspects, two suspected car thieves and sixty one other suspects at various criminal hideouts.
Dangerous weapons and intoxicating substances were also recovered by officers under Operation Puff Adder.

This time, 80 suspects were arrested by the Police for offences ranging from Armed Robbery, Kidnapping and Car theft, at various hideouts and blackspots in the state.
Out of the 80 arrested were 5 armed robbery and kidnapping suspects were caught while terrorizing defenseless citizens, carrying put operations from their base in the state’s notorious falgore forest.
Another set of suspects were also paraded by the Police, 2 of them suspected car thieves while others were apprehended at various black spots in the state.
The Police says 3 firearms were recovered, 18 live ammunition and 16 live cartridges.
Other items recovered were 15 Laptops, 3 Motor Vehicles, 26 parcels and wraps of Indian hemp amongst others.
In June, the Police arrested about 262 suspects who were paraded on two occasions. The arrested suspects have been investigated and charged court.
The Kano Police insists that more suspects would be arrested in a bid make Kano safer.
