The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan has constituted a panel to probe the alleged assault on nursing mother by Senator Elisha Abbo.
The bi-partisan ad-hoc committee headed by a former governor of Ebonyi State, Sam Egwu, was constituted following a point of order raised by the Senator representing Kaduna Central, Uba Sani
The embattled senator is a Peoples Democratic Party member representing Adamawa North Senatorial District.
He was seen in a video allegedly slapping a saleswoman at an adult toy shop in Abuja.

The video has since gone viral.
Meanwhile the senator at the centre of the controversy has apologised for battering a female attendant at an adult toy store.
