Men of the 301 artillery regiment of the Army in Gombe have donated materials to orphans in the state.The commander of the formation in the state affirmed the commitment of the army to carrying out its constitutional mandate and work with every member of the Nigerian society.
Correspondent Lanre Adeyemi reports that during major celebrations, the poor are often ignored, but the 156th year anniversary celebration of the Nigerian army revolves around orphans and the less privileged.
Men of the 301 artillery regiment donated gifts items to Groups of vulnerable people. Beneficiaries were grateful to the army. Their delight was evident as the children share their dreams for the future.
The Nigerian army is currently deployed in several states across the country in which the most notable is the conflict in the northeast region.
The 156th anniversary is an opportunity for reflection, appreciation and celebration.
