Justice Nicholas Oweibo has adjourned to Monday, September 2, formal arguments in the permanent forfeiture bid of the EFCC against several jewelry belonging to former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison Madueke.
The federal high court had in July granted an interim forfeiture order to the EFCC to seize 2,149 pieces of jewelry at her residence.
The EFCC said the items were fraudulently purchased with illicit funds.
But the former minister said the agency illegally entered her premises and that the jewelry valued at 40 million dollars rightfully belongs to her.
