The summer football transfer window has closed in England, but Everton beat the deadline to complete a dramatic late signing of Nigerian forward Alex Iwobi from Arsenal.
Everton’s initial 30 million pound bid for the player was rejected, but an improved 35 million pounds offer for the 23 year old Iwobi was too good for Arsenal to ignore.
The deal was concluded late on Thursday as Iwobi travelled to the Merseyside to complete the switch.

Many other big deals were transacted just before the deadline.
