NSCDC arrests members of Cybercrime Syndicate in Ondo

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ondo State Command, has uncovered an international cyber crime syndicate in Ondo.

The group is accused of defrauding Nigerians of money through threat to life, obtaining by false pretence and other methods.

A member, who is a Nigerian, was paraded before journalists at the command’s headquarters in Akure.

State Commandant, Christiana Abiakam-Omanu, said efforts are being made to repatriate the foreign-based suspects.

She revealed members of another syndicate that specialises in duping middle aged women through social media have also been arrested.

All the suspects would be charge to court after completion of investigations.
