The Police in Sokoto State has promised to rescue Aminu Magaji Bodai, a state house assembly member who was abducted today.
Mr. Bodai was abducted at his residence in Bodai village, Dange/Shuni local government area at about 1:15am on Thursday by more than eight gunmen
The spokesman of the Sokoto Police Command confirmed the abduction to TVC NEWS correspondent Nasir Suleiman at the command headquarters
Assistant Superintendent of Police Sadiq Abubakar said a detachment of the police special force is currently on the trail of the hoodlidums and expressed confidence the police will apprehend them.
He says though the police have not establish contact with the abductors but effort are being made to rescue him on time.
The spokesman also confirmed the release of a pregnant woman kidnapped in katura town but didn’t say if ransom was paid
