One person has been confirmed dead in Gombe state after a fuel tanker caught fire in an accident involving another truck and a motorcycle.
Eyewitnesses say the accident occurred along Gombe-Bauchi express road while one of the trucks was trying to overtake the other.
Firefighters and residents of the area battled to put out the blaze and the injured are receiving treatment in hospital.

Gombe state has witnessed two similar incidences this year, where about eighteen persons died.
