The Police have denied reports making the rounds on social media that the killers of Catholic Priest Paul Offu have been arrested.
The police said that the manhunt for the murderers has been intensified and that the perpetrators would soon be brought to justice.
Meanwhile, The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has condoled with Christians on the death of the priest.
The leader of the association in the south east also denied allegations the killing might have been carried out by herders.
Giddado Siddiki pleaded with the media to confirm information before dissemination.
The Fulani Herdsmen group appealed to the public to refrain from name calling, disclosed that Fulani operating in the South East are peace
loving people, noting that there is no criminal in their midst.
