A federal high Court sitting in Abuja will today hear a fresh application filed by the Department of State Services seeking to detain the Convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore for additional 20 days.
The matter earlier billed to come up earlier, but was stood down to 11am to enable the prosecutor get to court.
The federal government had on 20th September filed a seven-count charge of fraud and treasonable felony against Mr Sowore.
In the new charges, the government is accusing Mr Sowore of making several transfers of $16,975 and $20,475 from his domiciliary account with the United Bank for Africa with the intention of concealing the origin of the money.
Journalist and lawyers are in Court awaiting the arrival of the Presiding Judge, Justice Taiwo Taiwo.
