They have lived together for many years but now a broken bridge has separated them from their kinsmen in the same Community. That’s the story in Elebele, an Ogbia Community in Bayelsa State where the people now resort to canoes as the only means of transportation in the neighbourhood.

A bridge constructed by Shell Petroleum Development Company has collapsed.
The bridge lies prostrate at the middle of the stream denying the people of the usual short walk to both sides of the Community.
