A Senior Advocate of Nigeria has urged the bench to consider working out a solution for the structure of the Nigerian judicial system.
Adegboyega Awomolo made this suggestion at a valedictory court session held by the federal high court in honour of its former chief judge, Abdu-Kafarati Adamu at the court complex in Abuja.
Moyo Thomas reports that retired Justice Abdu-Kafarati Adamu was called to Bar in 1979 and served meritoriously from 1980 when he joined the Bauchi State ministry of Justice, until his retirement on the 25th of July, 2019
He rose to the pinnacle of his career with his appointment as the Chief Judge on 16th september 2017 and confirmed substantively on the 19th of June 2018 with several achievements to his credit. These achievements were lauded by colleagues in the legal profession at this valedictory session
Many extol his contributions to the legal profession, especially on the AMCON Rules he put in place and the improved welfare of Judges and staff.
Despite his achievements, Nigerians courts are still not without some challenges.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Adegboyega Awomolo, says there is needs for urgent intervention by court judges to address these challenges and calls a forum where these issues can be brought to the table and solutions discussed issues.
