The Kogi State governorship candidate of the social democratic party, Natasha Akpoti has caused a scene at the entrance to the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abuja.
The governorship candidate and her supporters gathered on the entrance gate of INEC’s headquarters in Abuja accusing the electoral umpire of planning to disqualify the party from participating in the November governorship election and also frustrating the party’s moves to substitute the name of the deputy governorship candidate.
Natasha Akpoti is one out of less that 10 female governorship candidates cleared by INEC to contest the Kogi governorship election.
Speaking with newsmen through the protest, Natasha expressed displeasure over INEC’s angle, making it troublesome to exchange the get together’s governorship operating mate, Mr Muhammad Yakubu, whose age was lower than 35 years as required by regulation.
