More than one thousand five hundred reading glasses have been distributed while minor surgeries conducted for those having cataract and hernia by a non governmental organisation in Osun state.
Rafiu Hammed reports that the General Hospitals Ilesa and Ijebu-jesa played host to thousands of patients who had come to enjoy the free Medical care courtesy of two Non-governmental Organizations.
More than 70 Medical personnel were attended to the health needs of the beneficiaries. The beneficiaries got medicines for their illness, while those whose cases required Surgeries also had the opportunity.
Organisers believe the exercise will go along way in reducing the health challenges of the people.
The Elegboro of Ijebu-Jesa, Oba Oluwafemj Agunsoye is full of appreciation to the Organisers. He wants wealthy people to give back to the society
Government also need to create enabling environment for sponsors of this kind of gesture. At the end of the 6 day exercise, over 200 surgeries were carried out free of charge.
