Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Timipre Sylva, says Nigeria is set to cut down on its crude oil production, this month and next month, in order to comply with the targets set by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries.
The minister of state for petroleum, while speaking at the 16th Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee, in Abu Dhabi, assured OPEC-member countries of Nigeria’s commitment to meet its agreed quotas by October this year.
According to him “We have agreed to comply with production cuts of 50 per cent this month and 100 per cent from October this year.”
