Victims of floods in Buji Local Government in Jigawa State have been offered free Medical Treatment and relief materials courtesy of the Nigerian Airforce.
The move is in line with the Chief of Air Staff, Saddique Abubakar’s decision to reach out to flood affected communities in the country.
TVC News Correspondent Ibrahim Isah reports that Gantsa town of Burji Local Government Area of Jigawa is among communities worst hit by flood this year. Six persons lost their lives and hundreds of houses were submerged as a result.
The Nigerian Airforce arrived the area to provide succour for the homeless. Free medical treatment to avert outbreak of diseases and relief materials
were provided by the Airforce officials.
Residents of Gantsa converged at the community health facility to access the free medical care under the supervision of their traditional leaders.
The Nigerian Airforce is optimistic that the exercise would also improve civil-military relations in the area. And for the homeless, the support would ease the pains inflicted by the natural disaster.
