Some Nigerians have begun to carry out retaliatory actions over the xenophobic attacks in South Africa. It was an evening of protests at South Africa-owned businesses in Lagos.
One of the most hit businesses is retail chain Shoprite, which had some of the items on the shelves of an outlet scattered.
The Protesters were at the Shoprite in Novare Mall in Lekki, Lagos and threw down some of the items on sale there.
There were also peaceful protesters at the Shoprite in Ikeja, also in Lagos.
They carried placards to show their displeasure, over the attacks on foreigners in South Africa, and a lone demonstrator went into the Shoprite in Surulere to protest.
