The Western Marine Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has seized and destroyed smuggled frozen poultry products worth N32.4m.
The contraband goods were intercepted around the Bar Beach waters in Lagos.
TVC News Correspondent, Ifunanya Eze reports that the Western Marine command, area comptroller revealed that the seizure of more than 3200 cartons of smuggled frozen poultry products was owed to a combination of the command’s intelligence and enforcement capacity.
Comptroller Binga also noted that more seizures will be made as Customs continue to uncover the smuggling routes.

The Nigeria Customs Service maintains that the importation of poultry products remain prohibited.
