Peronist candidate for the Frente de Todos party Alberto Fernandez has won Argentina’s presidential election
Crowds gathered outside Alberto Fernández election headquarters to celebrate his victory expressing hopes for a new Argentina.
Centre-left opposition candidate, Alberto Fernández was elected president of Argentina after he secured more than the 45% of the vote needed to win, beating conservative incumbent Mauricio Macri.
Mr Macri conceded defeat on Sunday night, Congratulating his political rival, and invited Mr Fernández to the presidential palace today to discuss an orderly transition.
