The first military governor of Lagos state, Brig. General Mobolaji Johnson is dead.
He died on Wednesday at the age of 83.
His son, Deji, confirmed the news saying the retired general died few hours ago.
Brigadier General Johnson was appointed the military Administrator by the military Head of State, Major Gen. Thomas Aguiyi-Ironsi in nineteen sixty six.

He was made governor of Lagos State by his successor, Gen. Yakubu Gowon and was retired in nineteen seventy five.
