Canadian Prime minister, Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party has won the 2019 Canadian election and will retain power but as a minority government.
Justin Trudeau claimed victory early Tuesday morning, winning a second term in the nation’s general election after his Liberal Party won enough seats to remain the ruling party.
Mr Trudeau’s liberal party will have to rely on other parties to pass legislation in this second term.
The liberals failed to gain an outright majority in parliament but have enough to keep control of government. they are expected to claim 156 seats 14 short of a majority while their closest Conservative rivals are heading for 122 seats.
