The Federal High Court Yenagoa has fixed 4th of November for hearing in a suit filed by Senator Heineken Lokpobiri challenging the Governorship Primary of the All Progressives Congress in Bayelsa.
Counsel to Senator Lokpobiri had urged the court to expedite hearing in view of the proximity of the Governorship election, but was opposed by the
counsel to David Lyon who submitted that the twenty-one day window for respondents should be upheld.
Noting that time was of the essence, Justice Jane Inyang ruled that the twenty-one day window be abridged to fourteen days.
