Fourteen members of the Edo state house of Assembly have accused the Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki of anti party activities and maladministration.
Controversy has continued to trail the House after the inauguration of 10 out of the 24 lawmakers that make up the House of Assembly
Correspondent Habidah Lawal reports that all has not been well with the political landscape of Edo state for sometime now as the inauguration of the state seventh Assembly has only served to deepen the crisis.
The aggrieved members said the number of number of lawmakers inaugurated is not up to half of the total lawmakers in the house, and is an attempt to truncate Democracy in the state. They called on the All Progressives Congress to intervene and reconcile the factions created by this development
The rumored rift between the governor Godwin Obaseki and All Progressives Congress National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole is said to be the major cause of the rift in the State Assembly.
